European milk prices continue on downward trend

Average milk prices in the European Union have dropped by over two per cent in May, according to the latest statistics. The weighted average milk price stood at €30.48 per 100kg, which is down €0.82 per 100kg (2.6 per cent) from the previous month. The alarming figures have just been released by the European Commission’s Milk Market Observatory.
