ADM and Alltech have signed an agreement to launch a North American animal feed joint venture. Alltech will contribute its US-based Hubbard Feeds and Canada-based Masterfeeds businesses, including 18 feed mills in the US and 15 in Canada, and ADM will contribute its 11 US feed mills. The joint venture will be majority-owned by Alltech and governed by a board with equal representation from each parent company. The companies expect to complete the transaction and formally launch the joint venture in the first quarter of 2026.

De Heus India, part of De Heus Animal Nutrition, has opened a new animal feed factory in Rajpura, Punjab. The factory, built with an investment of about US$17 million, is one of the largest and most advanced in India, carrying an installed capacity of 180 kMT with the potential to expand to 240 kMT. The Bewi-Fatrix range is designed to boost milk yields, support milk protein synthesis, and reduce nitrogen excretion. It uses a special cryotechnology to protect essential amino acids such as lysine and methionine from rumen degradation, ensuring their targeted delivery to the small intestine, where they are most efficiently absorbed and utilised by the animal.
GEA has launched its new digital service product, GEA InsightPartner EvoHDry, an advanced condition monitoring tool designed to improve production reliability and operational efficiency in dairy and beverage plants. The system has been engineered specifically for complex industrial environments, where uninterrupted operation is essential for producing products such as infant formula, cream, evaporated milk, condensed milk, and cheese. DeLaval launches new calf feeders DeLaval has launched 2 new calf feeders. The CF600C and the CF1100C feature a new transparent hopper, LED status indicator and a new fly screen. Both feeders can also connect via WIFI to DeLaval’s DelPro system and a new Calf Cloud app. These models replace the outgoing CF500 and CF1000 feeders and have been designed to improve feeding efficiency, hygiene and ease of operation.
