New farmers’ protests have erupted across the Netherlands, despite police warnings not to break the law, following the first demonstration against the government’s plan to curb nitrogen emissions on June 22. Farmers have been protesting the government’s plans to reduce the size of the agricultural sectors to comply with European conservation laws.
