Still zero grazing after 17 years

One of the first farmers in Northern Ireland to embark on the zero grazing system for dairy cows is still cutting fresh grass to feed his housed herd almost 17 years later. Roy Harpur, 80, and his sons David and Robert, currently milk 460 cows on their farm near Bessbrook in County Armagh, but each day they cut enough fresh grass to feed almost double that number.
